receptaculi
Modified setae that have bulbous recurved and denticulate tips. They are located on the medial margin of the maxilliped's basal endite and couple with their paired counterparts so that both maxillipeds can act as a single unit. (Syn. coupling hooks) [Wilson, 1989].
