gnathothorax
Cephalothorax with all appendages of fused thoracic somites modified as maxillipeds [McLaughlin, 1980].
Tagma resulting from fusion of gnathal somites (mandibular, two maxillary) with one or more thoracic somites, limbs of which are modified to act as mouth parts. See: cephalothorax [Moore and McCormick, 1969].
