(Order Cumacea):
On anterior section of carapace, small, unpaired median projection of frontal lobe; typically bears eyes. (Syn. eye lobe) [Stachowitsch, 1992].
(Order Tanaidacea):
Pair of relatively short, immovable projections, one located anterolaterally on each side of carapace; bears eyes [Stachowitsch, 1992].
(Order Amphipoda):
One of two small, articulated lobes on head of certain eyeless amphipods. Function unknown. (Syn. eye lobe) [Stachowitsch, 1992].
